With all of us "under the gun", so to speak, with our jobs, money, kids, and the usual "life gets in the way" stuff, that we all have to deal with, it's easy to forget days like tomorrow. Veterans Day. Of course this year, with the date being 11-11-11, it's getting more attention than usual. And that's kind of sad, when you think about it. Do we have to have an unusual reminder, to do something that each and every one of us should do, without question??? I don't want to sound "harpy", but this is something I feel strongly about. (Can you tell?) And considering what these men and women have sacrificed for us, I don't think it's asking too much, to go down to a parade (I'm sure they'll be one near you, somewhere), if you can. Or take some flowers to the Veteran's Memorial in your town, or hell, just walk up to a person in uniform, and shake their hand and thank them. And if you don't have those opportunities, I'm almost certain, that you know a Veteran. Thank THAT person. We each owe a debt of gratitude, that is all too simple to pay.
A lot simpler than some paid. Freedom isn't, and never was, FREE!
