Kansas City, Missouri
The National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM) held its annual conference May 10-11 in Kansas City, Missouri. NCOM invited the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) to attend the event, where MRF President Kirk "Hardtail" Willard presented the Keynote Address on Unity, as well as a seminar covering what's going on in Washington DC and the MRF legislative priorities for 2024. There was also a seminar on Profiling Legislation led by MRF Board Member Rick "Brick" Lindsey and a panel that included MRF Director of Membership Eric Ross, Walter "Swamp" Derouen representing NCOM Region V and the Louisiana COC, as well as Jacque Lindsey with ABATE of Louisiana.
Another excellent seminar was a well-researched history of Autonomous Technology in automobiles, presented by NCOM Board Member Ed Schetter. There were also breakout sessions for councils, clubs and for individual regions to discuss the issues faced by each. This year's event was well attended and educational for all involved.
