Yesterday was a very exciting day for my family. At f 69 years young my mother bought her first motorcycle. ( I knew I got it from some where.) It is an old 1978 Honda matic... a little 400 cc engine with 2 speeds. Now with my mothers balance and health problems we all thought that this would be a great little bike for her to learn on. I would say I want to keep close to home for awhile but she is already talking 400 mile day trips... I rode it 20 miles to a little town caslled Louisburg which is famous around here for their apple cider and apple donuts.. Donuts boiled not in oil like most but insteead in apple cider... Yummy little things. Any way the Wooly man signaled for me to turn into a little gas station so I did. When he went inside I put mom on her bike and got her riding around the gas stion. Well next thing I know she wants to finish riding her bike home. I could not say no, after all it was her bike. I also was not sure she she go this alone as she had never drove a motorcycle before. So off goes the cover on the side car. I climb in and mom rode her first motorcyle home the rest of the 32 miles. in 49 degree weather with out her coat as she had forgot to bring it. But she did do it without incident or traffic voilations. I am proud of her... I put a couple of picture up in an ablum if you want to see.
