Wow!!! This last winter took forever to finish up. We had snow here a week or so ago. I was so sick of it, I had already ridden my bike when the weather got unseasonably warm for a few days, but then snow came back. Now it is Memorial Day weekend and it is its usual cool and cloudy here in NW Pennsylvania. I did ride today to the store for some dog treats, I cannot forget my four legged family members . It was a bit chilly but I managed to suck it up and take the bike up to about 70 on the straight away. (no cops around)
Now I just have to figure why the left side turn signal light on the front keeps shorting out. It is irritating to me. I like all my lights to work all the time and I hate trying to find electrical solutions. Last year I replaced the old fuse holder and it is just fine. Back to the wiring and searching for a short again. I don't want to tear the bike apart this time, though.
I still have to clean every inch of my bike before I really take to the roads. A clean bike is a happy bike, or something like that.
I still have to take the trickle charge to my friend,Brenda, since her Shadow is not starting, again. This time the shop will replace the battery and check her electricals this time. I just need to put the charger on my bike and get it to her. So far the weather has been a deterrant since my cage (the pickup truck) is at the shop now since the accident on April 21st when the back wheels locked up and the ditch called to me.
I don't care, I want just to ride my bike now, the truck can wait. I don't have to get firewood started just yet, do I?
Have a safe Memorial Day everyone!!!!!!! Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.
I see you also have a VTX,and your problem sounds similiar to mine.
I started checking for breaks in the wiring bundle, took off the rubber protective overwrap
and carefully traced... more
