This years event is about helping Marine veteran James Poggi.
James Poggi (USMC) suffered injuries while serving in Afghanistan assisting in the landing of a malfunctioning V-22 Osprey. James’s injuries developed into debilitating conditions. Requiring 24/7 care, provided mostly by his wife, Stefanie. In addition, Stefanie cares for their two young special needs children. Currently the Poggi family live in a tri-level home that does not afford proper mobility for James's wheelchair and greatly restricts his movement throughout the house. The Poggi family vehicle is also in serious need of repairs. With a limited income, the family cannot afford to repair or replace it. Proceeds of this fundraiser will go toward helping the Poggi family repair/replace their vehicle and prepare their house for sale.
