Fundraiser poker ride for my granddaughters #Emmiestrong.
Raising funds for my granddaughter Emmie and her to mom and dad and nurse and her RoadHog to take their second trip to San Francisco children's for her ❤️. Emmie was born May 3rd 2015 at 1 pound 4 ounces after only 24 weeks gestation. She has survived many obstacles and the odds stacked against her. Her mom who was studying to be a doctor and has a degree from ASU has been forced to be a stay home mom and caretaker lovingly to Emmie. Her dad ( my son ) works laborious hours to keep up with his family bills and medical expenses not covered by insurance. Installing auto glass for reputable company, who works with him for time needed off with Emmie and her medical needs. Emmie's life has been spent mostly in Phoenix Children's Hospital for the past 2 years. And she is the only baby in the world on experimental meds to help her develop what she needs to develop for her heart procedure. Emmie and her parents have even moved in with her mommy's, mom and fiancé in their home in Mesa to help manage. My sole goal for this fundraiser is to try and help Emmie's life be better as much as I can. Emmie has Downs Syndrome, which comes with medical difficulties. She has a PDA valve and a hole in her heart. Emmie has a medical pump that delivers her experimental medication. A feeding tube that delivers her nutritional needs. A club foot that can't be repaired until after her heart is fixed. A tracheotomy and breathing machines that delivers the right amount and mixture of gases she needs to breath until her heart is fixed, and her lungs can develop more. Emmie has so much against her, and yet she is so happy! She brings joy to everyone who's life she has touched. Emmie is s fighter against All odds! And that is why she is known as #Emmiestrong
