Welcome to The GSRF 3rd Annual LAF (Long Ass Fundraiser) Ride!!! This year’s ride will NOT be 1000 miles, something a little less. We have some extra fun in store for everyone during and after the ride. Details will be forthcoming regarding the festivities and entertainment.

As you know, The Gold Star Ride Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization. They honor and help support Gold Star Families across the United States. Last year’s taxes stated that 73% of the funds went to the families. The goal is always above 85%, but during a Covid year, we’ll take it. It’s still more than 3 times better than the nearest competitor.
What is a Gold Star Family? At the Gold Star Ride Foundation, we say basically if there was a funeral and a uniform, then to us, there is a Gold Star Family.
We will be riding, in formation, throughout the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin. We will be riding on all sorts of roads to include interstate, 2-lane blacktop and even some fun twisties to challenge your riding ability.
We will be enjoying some breathtaking views, so have your phone charged for lots of pictures. All I can say at this time is start collecting those tax-deductible donations from friends, family, co-workers and employers. Last year we raised over $6k and we hope to do that and a helluva lot more this year!!
Every rider who signs up through the Gold Star Ride Foundation website will have their own "donation" button added to the website. There will be a special prize for the rider that generates the most donations.
Be sure to check with all of your business owner friends, as well (tax deductible).

We will have a riders meeting at the Broadway Kwik Stop/Car Wash, 318 W Broadway St, Monticello, MN 55362 at 5:30 am with KSU at 6:01am. Please be gassed up and ready to go.
The longest leg of this ride is 160 miles. Please be sure that your motorcycle is capable of traveling that far on a tank of gas.
Here’s something new this year: If you don’t want to ride the whole thing, just ride a piece of it. There are various stops where riders can join and fall out. (Of course, it goes without saying that you’ll be riding in the back.)
THE NUMBER OF BIKES ALLOWED ON THIS RIDE IS LIMITED!! BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY!!
Be sure to share this with all of your friends. All bikes/trikes are invited. All supporters of Gold Star families are invited to the American Legion in Monticello for the party upon our return.
As last year, there will be a support vehicle for any breakdowns. As always, ride at your own risk, pay your own expenses. Hotels will be announced soon. It’s gonna be a blast!
