    ABOUT
On October 5th we will honor Russell Rhoads with our first annual memorial ride in remembrance of him. Russ Rhoads was a charter member (one of the founding 58 member) of the American Legion Riders Chapter 109. He passed away from pancreatic cancer on March 18th, 2023. Based off Russ’s charity involvement, his family wished that donation be made on his behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As such, the proceeds from this event will go to St. Jude. Russ loved to ride to King’s Gap and visit the Huntsdale State Fish Hatchery where his mother used to work. We will stop at the King’s Gap General Store on the way to the fish hatchery. King’s Gap General Store is an antique general store that has candy, wheels of cheese, and everything a general store should have. Russ Rhoads is the author of the Rider’s Creed of The American Legion Department of Pennsylvania State Riders.
