2024 will mark the 40th running of the Polar Bear Run.
The Polar Bear Run is a self-guided motorcycle ride for individual riders or groups held each year on New Year’s Day. The ride begins at Cycle Gear in SE Portland and ends at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria in Oregon City. Each year, the road captains of Trinity Road Riders design unique ride routes. You can choose to ride 1 of 3 rides.
Papa Bear Route - our signature route is approximately 90 miles. Recommended when the weather is good and you are dressed for the cold.
Mama Bear Route - Our signature route is approximately 90 miles. Recommended when the weather is good and you are dressed for the cold.
Some of the proceeds of the Polar Bear Run are given to Missionary Ventures. This international organization partners with the Christian Motorcycle Association to purchase motorcycles for pastors in foreign counties
Baby Bear Route - If the weather is poor, you may choose this ride. This route is the shortest possible distance to the pizza joint.
