The Flint Hills Stampede is yearly gathering of Dual Sport / Adventure Touring motorcycle riders enjoying the magnificent scenery and technical challenges that the Flint Hills have to offer. The stampede was founded in 2005 by Clark Luster and Roger B. Baugh as a weekend long riding event in Council Grove, KS. The stampede has visited other locations such as Cottonwood Falls, Eureka and Beaumont. We gather over a 3 day period with the bulk of the activities taking place Saturday. Friday is arrival and impromptu ride day. Saturday is our main gathering for volunteer guided rides. Sunday is more impromptu riding and packing up to go home. The stampede has grown over the years from just a handful of riders to groups of around 100. We are working towards the potential of adding more activities to take place on Friday. Our new committee members are bringing fresh ideas and the potential for growth. We look forward to seeing all faces old and new. All fees collected are used to pay for the event hosting fee's, to advertise the event and any leftover funds, over the account minimum threshold, are donated to local charities. All the funds stay within the state of Kansas.
We make every effort to ensure events listed in the CycleFish Motorcycle Event Calendar are accurate at the time of posting.
