Hello everyone,
I saw this web site and it looked as if it would be fun and full of information about my most favorite thing to do and that's riding one (at a time) of my 3 Harleys. My husband has a Harley Ultra Classic, that I had changed to a trike after he came back from Iraq in June of 2003. All he could think about was that he would never ride his bike again. So, some of our fellow riders and the local Harley Shop and Hot Springs Trikes, here in Hot Springs , AR kept it a secret for 4 months while the California Side Car " Daytona" kit was put on her. Now we ride as much as possible. I have a 2005 Softail Deluxe, 2006 Dyna Super glide and a 2009 Night Train. I take turns riding them locally, but when we take a trip, like to Sturgis or Myrtle Beach, we trailer his trike and I take the Deluxe and the Dyna with us. I bought the Night Train because I always wanted one and then I found out that 2009 was the last year they were being made. I just know have 2600 miles on her. By the way, I have names for ALL the bikes!!
I haven't been able to ride much in the last few months because I've been taking Chemo and I need a Liver Transplant. I got this disease 25 years ago from a blood transfusion (2), when I had a emergency C-Section when our son was born. Needless to say I was in shock when I got the news from my doctor, when I went in for a yearly physical. Now I'm at End Stage 4 and within the next 4 weeks if I don't show some improvement, I then will be put on the Transplant List in Little Rock @ UAMS. I have only one wish to ask everyone to do for me and that is to Pray that I can Beat this and will get the Transplant quickly so I can full fill our dream of riding to every state in the US, just my husband and me!
Enough of all that. I've been riding bikes since I was 10 when my 2 "BIG BROTHERS" got me a 100 cc Indian (wish I still had it) and they took the time to teach me to ride safe and always watch out for the other people that don't somehow see a motorcycle when it's stopped at a light and plow into you. So, you can probably guess, I've been riding Harleys and the 1 Indian for 42 years and only 1 accident when a Junkie hit me at a red light going 56 mph. God gave me a miracle that day, because, I only had a few bruises. That's why it is so important to wear All your riding gear at all times, including the helmet, because if I had not been wearing it and the rest of my gear, I would not be writing this now.
