  About 80 degrees here in the Bay Area of Calif. I broke the bolts holding the pulley onto my wheel. Thought it was just me but I am told this happens all to often. I would suggest changing the bolts every couple of years.l Don't forget to use lock tight. Know what they call bikers that do not use lock tight??? Pedestrians!

  I am with Badinfluence. Check for a vacume leak. A leak can smoke your engine. How about a manafold gasket leak also? Another thing I would do before I do another trip. Install an oil cooler. Jag makes one with a thermostat in the adapter. I didn't like the 1/4" lines so I tapped it out for 3/8" lines. Keeps my 01 FXDWG cool here in the Bay Area and into the valley.

  2001 FXDWG with a side car. Everything is modified. Raked neck from 32  degrees to 36 and installeed 5 degree trees for 41 degrees of rake. Soince I have no left foot (lost it in a bike accident along with most of my leg) I moved the shifter to the right side and made me a heel brake. It all works out very good even when I am on 2 wheels riding.

  I went to my wife's sister wedding where it was VERY formal. Wife ask me to dress up so (for her) I did. A friend of the family road to the wedding. He grew up with the family. Jerry came to the wedding with leathers. Clean ones too. The preacher that married wifes sister came up to Jerry and told him that he was glad to see someone feel at home in the church. When Jerry left he Kicked life into his shovel and road away. Most everyone there thought it was good that Jerry felt good enough about the church and God to come as he lived. A biker.
