Any thoughts????

Try not to make it too obvious, like standing in from of Mt Rushmore, but something recogniable to someone else who has been there. Feel free to enter your picture even if the you can't answer the last one, just remember when you answer to put who's picture are referring to.  less

Soooo I decided to maybe kick er' up a notch a add some chrome dress up, pinstripes, & performance parts to my VT750C Honda Shadow Aero. I set a budget of around $800 to see what I could do to affordably get my bike up to speed. I added some detail accent stripes, chrome neck cover & side covers, then added a Kuryakin Hypercharger & VH Sriaghtshots HS drag pipes and...... man what a difference!!! this baby rocks! has a whole new look, feel, and handling! way beats taking on "bike payments"!! I'm attatching some pics of the pinstriping & will have more pics of the performance parts next post! Hope this  post is helpful in maybe planning...    less

A friend of mine that has a shop told me not to use the gear type setup with a twin cam. He stated the mating points were weak and caused premature failure. I do not know this to be fact so doublecheck.

My scoot has exact same issue. It seems more pronounced if you ride it hard for short distances. Personally (and this is from related experiences with other types of vehicles) The ECM (computer)samples several things and does it several times a second. It samples air temp, engine temp, barometric pressure, throttle position, RPM,s etc. The resultant corrections to fuel regulation is what is termed as fuel mapping. Making all these adjustments constantly AND the fact the seasons are changing result in this condition. Whenever the engine wants to fall on its arse, ease it around the next few minutes and the condition fades as the engine cools and all the "sampling" settles down. This is what I have noticed with my own bike.

Well, time for my 2 cents. You know, I have noticed that the all caring compasionate party seems to be OK with everything as long as its thier way. Not throwing anyone under the bus here, just an observation. Now, the other side starts talking about the mistakes made not connecting with the people. Then they announce who may be in mind in 4 MORE years. Now, the "compassionate" group immediately gets in lockstep to villify someone that has done nothing. Then you have the news media.IF the media hadnt constantly villified a good honest wholesome American, the same media that has been in the toilet for we know who, to lie, cover up and totally decieve the general public to the point that turning on the TV to almost any broadcast is an exercise in futility. I am fortunate to be alive but American blood has been spilled for generations to have freedom of speech. What is happening in todays America is crying shame to all those brave soldiers that died for this.

CreativeHDMama, Ive been on Cyclefish awhile now. My wife and I live in North Central Fla. (A little south of Lake City. We cruise the gulf coast areas lots of weekends. Some of our favorite haunts are Cedar Key,Appalachicola,Indian Pass(Indian Pass has THE premier oyster bar of the gulf, one of the first real original ones.)The Indian Pass area got hit hard by Tropical storm Debbie, almost wiped out the campground. By the way, the same storm flooded our home, we havent moved back in yet, still rebuilding. The flood has put a kink in our usual riding plans but we think we will be done in the next few weeks. On up the coast there is Port St Joe and Mexico Beach. Just inland is Wewahitchika, The movie Ulee's Gold was filmed there. Try the local Tupelo honey, its the only honey in the world that doesnt crystalize. Past Pt St Joe are lots of coastal areas worth the ride. We like to get off the beaten path, find the "old Florida" I remember as a child. There are still remnants of it yet, its not all gone... the quaintness. The good thing about the gulf is it is so shallow through the Big Bend area, it has prevented large scale development. One really hidden Gem is Shired Island. Its between Stienhatchee and Suwanee off 19. This is an island at the end of a 15 mile hardroad, county maintained campground VERY secluded. The signs say no alcohol but in your camper? Its a very nice place. There is a road called Dixie Mainline from Shired Island to the town of Horseshoe Beach. This road is not paved but it is 12 miles of the best scenery in Florida. I have driven it on my bike. It is an old logging road from the late 1800's the state fixed up. These are a few suggestions. I havent been on CF for awhile what with the flood and all. Now its almost over and we can smell the roses again. Hope to hear from you soon, Moondog
