Used to be you didn't think twice about just running the light (law or no law) if it didn't change. However with the introduction of red light ticket cameras, now you get a ticket in the mail and have to take the time to go down to the court and explain it - and that only got you out of it maybe half the time!

They are introducing more of what is known as 'The Bike Box' because there are so many pushing the pedal alternative. It allows a bicyclist to cruise up in front of all traffic at a stop light. Bet they wouldn't allow us bikers to do that... heh hehOh ~ I hear it's $100 / tire if you're in the box and not a 'bicycle' ~ so beware...

I have that same issue when coming up to an intersection down the road from my house. Even with two of sitting there, it won't change. Would wait until it a four (or bigger) wheeled vehicle comes along or turn around and go a different direction to get home.
