Redwood Run 2012

    If anyone needs a place to camp before or after the run I am about 1 1/2 hours from Piercy in Ft Bragg. I have 3 acres of redwoods...a place to shower, cook, a fire pit. Let me know.

    Nice offer Susan!!!! Wish we had a couple of extra days off, and we would take you up on it. Ft Bragg is such a beautiful place!

    I hate to sound cheap but $120 per to go camping... I'll pass.

    Too bad... you are missing the absolute Best Biker Party on the West Coast - not to mention the biggest CycleFish Meet n Greet Ever!!!

    I know $120 is high for a rally, but I can tell you personally because I work very closely with the Kiwanis on this Rally that even at $120 per, they don't break even until just under 3,000 people and then the rest ALL goes to Kiwanis Scholarships for local kids.

    This is a very expensive run to put on... first because the Kiwanis don't own the property like a lot of the runs in the Midwest and south, so they have to rent it.  In addition because of the GREAT location in the middle of nowhere, they pay 5 times the norm to have generators, sound, lighting, sanitation, etc, etc shipped in.  Then the bands have to be flown in and transported hundreds of miles from the nearest airports so they charge more because its two or three days of travel for a one night gig.  But it's all worth it to have this GREAT PARTY in this GREAT LOCATION.

    I have been to rallies ALL over this country and the Redwood Run is without a doubt the ONLY ONE I would never miss!!!

    JUST 10 MORE DAYS TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!

    Yeah I missed last year also. Been going to this since the early 80's. Best Run on the West Coast

    I was just counting up the CycleFish people going (many are coming as couples even though only one RSVP'd), and it looks like we should have just over 100 CycleFish people there!!!!

    Damn, sounds like I need to get up there. I already request my vacation days for another time, but this sounds like its worth a couple of unpaid days!

    Hell Yeah. We are hitting the road on Sunday, Taking the coasts (Wa,Or, Ca) all the way down. Lots of fun stuff planned.
