No it's not Los Alamos or Ft Carson, but Los Alamos was closer. Actually AZ's guess of 29 Palms was the closest (mileage wise).
Another Hint: It's open to the public and they have a LOT more tanks than shown in the picture. Those are actually waiting to be restored.

Actually now it is the General Patton Meseum on I-10 just west of Blythe, CA.
Until I stopped there last weekend to get out of the heat, I never realized mesuem was even there, or that at one time on that spot was the worlds largest Army depot, where troups were trained in desert heat during WWII before heading to No Africa.
