Pennsylvania Bikers for Justice is hosting a Wrongful Conviction Awareness Rally at the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes Barre, PA from 1PM to 2PM. This is a free event and all are welcome. Pennsylvania Bikers for Justice members from all over the State will be riding in to the Luzerne Count Court House joined by the following Exonerees and Advocates who will explain the tragedies and consequences of wrongful convictions.
1.} Internationally recognizes wrongful conviction expert, Jeffrey Deshovic, Esq., MA, served 16 years in NY for murder and rape before being exonerated by DNA. Jeff, an attorney, is the founder of The Jeffrey Deshovic Foundation for Justice, which has freed 11 people and helped pass 3 laws. He is also an advisory board member of Pennsylvania It Could Happen To You, and serves on the Global Advisory Council of Restorative Justice International. 2.} Larry Trent Roberts, served 13 years 8months for a Dauphin County murder he did not commit before being exonerated in September 2019.
Other speakers will be announced at the event. Following the rally all are invited to join Pennsylvania Bikers for Justice and the Exonerees for lunch at The Brickhouse Tavern, 319 Main Street, Dupont, PA for a late lunch. *Wyoming County will meet at DC Fuel East 3409 US-6, Tunkhannock, PA . 11AM KSU at 11:30AM and ride to Dupont VFW
*Luzerne County will meet at Sheetz on highway 315 in Plains Twp 11:30 and KSU 11:45. and ride to VFW in DuPont
*Wayne County will meet at Tractor Supply Co on 590 in Hamlin Pa 11am meet KSU 11:30AM. and ride to Dupont VFW.
