I started riding in 1967 on a Honda Super 90 then to a 350 Scrambler then to a CB 750 Honda and rode for 10 years, Moved to Texas got married, Had kids and then only rode occasionly utill 2002 when i started riding all the time again. In between those years I've built race cars and done very well racing them, won money and trophys and spent tons of money doing it. I've built show cars and won some very high awards doing it, and have spent tons of money doing that also. Now I have a Harley Davidson and have probably spent the least overall money on it and enjoy it more than all of the rest of the things i've ever done. I have met some of the nicest people ever and real people, from party animals to religious bikers. Now I don't understand why they have such a bad reputation. Sure there are 1%ers and they are not all bad people either, but most bikers will do anything to help another biker when in need. There is something about a biker that is etched in stone that makes you part of a family that only bikers can understand. It's like the saying ( IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND ). So late in life that I go back to something that I love doing and now so short a time doing it. I should have learned from an old time biker back in Russell Pa. who rode His Harley across the country in the mid and late 60's when he started so late in life, But at least he got to do it for a while. If you have never done it don't critisize those who do. We are probably the only real people left and possibly the only hope for whats left of this country. God bless America, Ride Safe and keep the rubber side down.... (:>)
