Message My name is Oliver and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I've always been one of those people who refuse to follow the current and to be honest I put a certain amount of pride in that fact, as a kid I was the guy under the tree with my nose in a book while everyone else were playing soccer, I never stopped building model aircraft and I still haven't gotten around to buying a CD player.

I grew up in an extended family where we kids were taught that free thinking, nudity and sex were natural elements of the human condition, not that people ran around naked 24/7 (This is Scandinavia) and had sex everywhere, but we were taught to forget old taboos and make up our own minds, which apparently is a sin these days.

I was born in 1971, to a Danish hippie and an American escaping service in Southeast Asia, so I've always seen myself as half American, but have lived all my life in Denmark, I enlisted in the Royal Army after graduating high school and was planning for a career in uniform, but then end of the Cold War saw me back as a civilian.

After leaving the service I spent the next five years as apprentice to a photographer and was ready to break out on my own by the turn of the century, but once again the Norns interfered; a near-fatal accident in '01 forced me to exchange my camera with a computer program and a collection of 3D models, allowing me to create everything from pinups to battle scenes.

Okay, it would be cool to make some friends too, but the main reason that I'm here is that I still haven't met the girl of my dreams and I know she is out there, I don't really care about all the Mickey Mouse stuff like age, looks or whether she has kids, it sounds like a pickup line, but I'm more interested in personality and chemistry.

One of my favorite pass-time activities is watching Star Trek and similar tv-shows on DVD, but I also love to experiment in the kitchen and go to concerts, mostly bands like KISS, Motley Crue and Def Leppard.
