  What 's Everyone Doing This Weekend?

  The Motorcycle Riders Memorial of Illinois is having their meeting Dec. 9 at Lowery's Irish Pub in Mt. Vernon. Chili cook off, broomstick pool tournament. Will be a brisk ride but lots of fun and good people. Starts at noon till? All are welcome.

  WHAT WOULD YOU RIDE?

   The year? Ain't important...as long as it's SAFE. I'm a bit too old now to have to worry 'bout this 'n that.  I been ridin' close to 35 yrs, and my bike of choice is still a Harley-Davidson SPORTSTER.  I...  more The year? I'm a bit too old now to have to worry 'bout this 'n that.  I been ridin' close to 35 yrs, and my bike of choice is still a Harley-Davidson SPORTSTER.  I fit them, and they...fit me.  And here in Jax, that barterin' you talk about and know, up yonder?  Is non-existent, here in the SOUTH.  It's dog-eat-dog down here, Brother. Sad to say.  Not sayin' a Brother won't STOP for another on the road...  But therein, lies the rub,  and one that's always been my curse.  I'm NOT a "BROTHER"...I'm a Mother. Feel me?
