I wear a mesh Shift jacket in the hot hot weather, stripped all the padding out n its pretty darn comfortable !! With the padding in I cant figure out why someone would wear it when its super hot out? Its intolerable LOL besides looking like overkill with a cruiser.
The best part of any rally for me is seeing all the unique bikes and crazy set ups riders use to git around !!  less

What is the difference between a Heritage Softail and a Road King? Do you know the round about price difference? I may still remain on those 4 cylinder sport touring type all round rigs, but ya never know.

    • RufCut LC, the heritage is a hidden monoshock (softail) design and the RK is the baby of the touring line. And T's price estimates are probably pretty close for a new bike out the door.

    • bluto Hey LCS, if you ever get a chance, keep an eye out for an HD Demo Days at a dealer in your area. It is a day worth spending if you are thinking of buying one. You get to ride pretty much every bike they make, even their trike, it's alot of fun.

I rode both an RK and an HS a couple months ago at a demo day and found the RK had the floorboards too high for my build, I'm 6' if that gives you any idea, but no advice can replace a test ride, go try them out.

  • Message Hi all, I've been riding something with a motor since I was about 10. Since having kids, I've hung up my "go-fast" credentials and have my cruiser. I like to ride for any reason and my kids love to ride with me. I never go far with them, but when we do, they are ear to ear and loving it.
Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.
