I don't care what mfgr they are as lond as they can still be used for a little bit of time. I have Screamin Eagle EZ Install adjustables in mine but the two in the rear cyl are screwed up; won't collapse enough to get out by normal method of installation and removal. Adjuster screws are locking up before it collapse's far eneough down to remove over the edge of the lifter blocks. I had to pull the lifter blocks off today to romove them so as not to have to remove the gas tank and rocker covers. My cam is a bolt in V-Thunder EVL-3000 .500 lift (Very close to stock of .478 I think). Thanks guys  less

    Good morning group,
Last night while riding my '90 FLHTC, I noticed that my "hi beam" indicator was glowing even though my switch was on "low".  I could see that my spotlights were operating normally.  I switched to"high beam" and saw that my spots dimmed considerably, and my headlight bulb began to glow very dimly. The beam indicator continued to show "high beam".  I switched back to "low beam", and the headlamp went dark while the spots came back up to full brightness.   Any thouights here, or known similar problems?  I suspect a short, but do not know where to look.  I planr to pull the headlamp housing and possibly the outer fairing later today to see what I might find in there.

    Thanks for any help, Chardagha

Posted in the topic Starter Solenoid Cover W/Manual Pushbutton in the forum Harley Davidson
    June 22, 2010 11:40 PM PDT
Hey guys...I just bought a Solenoid Switch Push-Button Rear Cover for my '90 Bagger. Looks like the 2.0 cover shown above and cost about $50.00...money well spent. When I installed it, I pulled out the plunger and cleaned the contact surface before buttoning it up. The bike seems to start better now from the switch, but the best part is that WHEN the switch fails, the push-button will not. I got stranded in Palm Desert 2 weeks ago on a ride with the wife, and felt like and idiot as she tried to push start me. This is definitely the way to go. PS: finding the proper cover was the hardest part of this venture. Called 10-15 shops before I found mine. Most are made for '91-up, but I was ready to build my own. I was going to drill my factory cover, find a bolt and grind the head to very thin, insert it so the head was inside the cover and the threaded end protruded through the cover and Voila!. Just needed a way to seal it against moisture.
