Ultra Classic Wobble or Chime walk
I hve a 2007 Ultra that likes to chime walk at times, curves on concrete section hiways and high speeds.  I've seen some add on braces that brace the frame and transmission.  Is that the best fix and if so what manufauture is the best?

done 4 trips that way..depending on which way you go the long way through St John or through St George towards prince Rupert and turn off at Kitiwanga ( hwy 37) which is the shorter way to Alaska. My preference is that hwy 37as it has quite the scenery crossing 31 trestle bridges  which is one way only, so watch out for oncoming vehicles. Make sure your full of fuel before heading up hwy 37 and fuel up til you reach the alcan hwy. You'll find the scenery quite spectacular with several stops along the way. Stop in Whitehorse overnight if you get the chance for a look see around the town as well as the historical aspect of the surrounding area.  The only danger you'll encounter is wildlife as there are an abundance of them and I would refrain from riding in the evening or at least take it slow.  Once on the Alcan isn't too bad as its all paved  as I rode through there when it wasn't and lawdy sakes did I go through tires. Have a good journey .

I also had a high speed wobble usually around curves or with a heavy load on the rear. Seeing as my bike is an Ultra classic 08 as my understanding goes its common on that bike. On the 2009 they redesigned the frame. I purchased the progressive linkage system and it cured the wobble. The installation was simple and in this case it connects the frame to the tranny.

Thanks Chaz, I took all in consideration in the replies. I don't like riding into a big city if I can avoid it. It seems like you and Steven concurred about the Bedford area. By all means I'll use the public transportation to get downtown Boston. I have heard its a great walkabout city from many and that was one of the reasons I want to make at least 1 overnight stop.

Im only staying a week and bikes going to be parked. I haven't seen her in 3 years so its it gave me a good excuse for being there. Other than that Boston will be the only other large city I'll stay in. Gotta due the tourist thing yano. After that I just want to ride through the country roads and see as much as I can see.. L

NYC actually rocks as I've sent many single friends ( even women) which didn't want to come back from NYC. It is a city that never sleeps and they loved it. I just told them where to avoid and what to see.
At least in NYC I will be staying with my sister so no hotel fees unless she gets tired of me a charges me triple so that I would leave. After NYC then its Boston followed by the rest of the east coast states. This includes Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario,Quebec,Manatoba,Sasketchewan,,Alberta, British Columbia and alas back home just south of Seattle.
