  Transmission Splined Shifter Shaft

  Hi, can someone please help. I have a 05 Ultra Classic and when changing the oil seal on the transmission shifter shaft. I noticed that I could pull the shaft out towards me like a quarter of a inch. That's with the flat washer and retaining ring on....  moreHi, can someone please help. I have a 05 Ultra Classic and when changing the oil seal on the transmission shifter shaft. I noticed that I could pull the shaft out towards me like a quarter of a inch. That's with the flat washer and retaining ring on. That can't be normal. What do I need to do to. resolve this issue. Thanks for the help
