From : Dirk Diggler Since getting back into riding, and associating with more people who also ride, I've found myself asking this question more and more...  What exactly is the definition of the real biker?   Some will say it's anyone who has the drive and desire to ride, and loves the feeling of the open road.  Others will disagree, claiming that you have to ride for a cause, own a certain brand of bike, dress a certain way, etc. I've met both, and quite frankly, the ones who consider themselves the "real", "hardcore" bikers are most the time the biggest poseurs on the planet.   Allow me to embellish a bit... This past weekend, I decided to attend one of many "ride for a cause" rides, only because I felt a little bit of a connection to the cause involved, and thought I should do my part to at least make an appearance and donate a little...    less

The mechanics Mike, a buddy of mine, but may be a little over confident in his skills assured me it would be ready in two weeks. This was March 16th. He called me and asked if I wanted to change out all of the seals and gaskets, piston rings and adjust my valves while he had it all apart. I said sure, why not. I practically stole the bike for 3 grand so I figured I'd have a brand new one when all was said and done. Well he had hell putting everything back together but a month later he was done. I was on the rig when I got this call, a lot of good it does me. Well he was going for a spin and the starter/clutch assembly crapped out. No problem, he gets a new one and somehow while using a bearing puller splits my crankshaft in two. I'm $2000 into this and 6 f**king weeks without a f**king bike. I'm at my wit's end. I sent...    less

    Do You Garage?

Ours stays outside all the time, even though someone's tried to make off with her, we never close her up.  Not sure why... just never thought about it and since she doesn't seem to mind, we just let her hang there.   How about yours?

there are good place's to ride in your area, stay on rt 32 I belive and it will bring you into norwich, from there hit rt2 that will take yiou into colchester, from hit rt16 toward middletown on 16 then you will see sign toward willamantic back toward your neck of the woods, there are some nice place to stop and eat and Ice cream also. plus if you head toward the concino's also nice riding. was from connecticut all my life then retired to florida.

here is my 3cents, when I had my 86 883 I use mobil 93 all the time ran great. then bought a 87 fxlr custom lowrider and ran the same mobil 93 to this day I still have both bikes, one with 69k on sporty, 42k on fxlr.
Just a year ago I bought the fatboy lo and from day one sunoco 92, along with amsoil 20-50. so running 91-93 grade of gas will not hurt your bike harley's, other bikes not sure some of them call for lower octane.
