It's ABOUT time!!!! My motivating facts were, I just wanted to get on and ride...not have to be waiting around for somone to give me a ride. Now I'm learning and after I get my lil rebel down pat...I will ne looking for my own Harley...cause there's no stomping me now.  less

And there were plenty of jokes and disparaging comments. Can't tell ya how many times I heard the "dikes on bikes" hecklers. Thank God, that's not the case anymore. Women of all shapes, sizes and sexual preference ride. And what they ride, never mattered to me, it's just awesome to see them ride. We're not the minority anymore.

My Husband hated it when I climbed on back as did I. So, next best thing was to get my own. In the beginning, few women riders. I would hear all kinds of comments, mostly referring to my (perceived) sexuality! I did not care, I was riding and several of those name callers would be waitting for the bus! Ha! But...the other day, on my way home from work, a wonderful person leaned out of their car window and said, "you are beautiful!" that made this granny's day! I have never been a Princess, always played with boy toys, worked in the shop with my Dad, shoot guns, and ride motorcycles. So glad more women are riding, welcome to all the sisters, no matter what your preferences are! Big Hugs from Portland, OR!  less
