Because we don’t camp anymore it’s pretty expensive but it’s still worth it to me. We save all winter long so we can enjoy being in the wind. So, what do you say? Per mile, per trip, how much do you spend? Curious to know if it is close to what we spend.  Remember it's per mile.   Peace  less

O'k this happened to me Vulcan riders across the USA and the world told me how bad the seat was. Did i listen?..of course not. I knew better..4 days constant riding I needed a gel pad. I 'm hooked...8,000 miles later and it goes home in my bag.thank you Mr Gel for the pad...my arse is greatful!

The blue tint folks are speaking of is the properties of a headlights temperature color not whether it is a HID or LED. I have installed a HID system on my bike which has a color temperature of 5000k which delivers a crisp true white light without any blue tint whatsoever.

Interesting read, the deviousness it requires to come up with these scams amazes me. Like said already, put that energy to devise a legitimate way to make money. I like to use the internet for most transactions, have done so for almost two decades, this brings me to think one must stay vigilant and cautious regardless of how tech savvy you may be.

My 04 HD Sportster Owner's Manual says use 87 octane for all 883 models and 91 octane for all 1200 models. I wonder if the Big Twin engines call for a higher octane? When traveling I use the highest octane I can get usually 91-92 but it averages out as you get out to the midwest and there are a lot of 87 only gas stations. I see a difference in a tank of 87 than I do with the 91. I do travel with some octane booster and use it when I have multiple fill ups with 87.

Camp when I can, bunk house or motel at other times. Only did about 5,000 miles traveling the mid West last summer before I busted my ankle on the way home in Iowa. Rode another 1121 miles with my ankle busted in three places to get home. Riding solo, not eating much just snacks and a good diner I spent less than $1500 over 28 days. Stayed with friends in Houston for about 5 days and visited my son in Nebraska for 3 days. Don't drink or smoke. 1500 / 6100 comes to about 25 cents a mile, and hoping to do better and go farther this season if gas prices stay down.

Great vid, thanks for sharing, looked like a lot of fun. God willing I will be heading out west this riding season.
