At least that's the point of view mine takes... More Shoes... I did 5 Deer one year and a Pig... She got a new Wardrobe????

No, I just really love my elk meat, and I am really cheap. However I have never seen a hunting trip come up "cheap"! LOL! I bet if I did the numbers that elk is more per pound than the highest grade hamburger!

  My last Trout/Salmon fishing trip was just over $12.00 / Lb. a really good 8 hr day of fishing with good friends.   

cnciaco... Yer 100% correct! If you do the math for these "modern" hunting trips, cost per pound of edible meat is outrageous! Unless yer bagging far more than yer legal limit, it ain't economically feasable to live off of wild Game. And yes.... I love Elk.... Moose, Deer, Buffalo and Carribou....

But, as Clay always tells me as I am packing for him--"you can't put a pricetag on the comraderie and experience of spending a week in the mountains with the boys and his buddies"! And I get to cook all the things I love that he hates while he is gone!

Where is that eatin place??/
