Wish we had time for the quarter tour!! Work sucks!

We just got back from a great all day ride, even though everything that was supposed to happen, didn't. We started out this morning around 9:00 and headed for San Diego. After riding down the coast we headed inland to Spring Valley where we were supposed to check out a bike that Wolfhound is thinking of buying. Since he is in MT, he called and asked if I would go over and kick the tires and make sure the bike was "as advertised". But when we got to the shop it was all locked up, so we didn't get to check out the bike.

From there we headed up through the hills to the town of Julian. Julian is famous for their apple orchards and the worlds best Apple Pie. However, it was over 100° and apple pie just didn't sound all that appealing. We had a couple of cold drinks and back on the road.

Back down the other side of the hill and into Santa Ysabel to the Hideout Saloon for Thunder in the Back Country With 3 Spoke Wheel. It seams the saloon had problems with the permit for live music, so no 3 Spoke Wheel. We had a beer or two and then wandered outside to enjoy a cigar. Laura and I were sitting on the rail when she said, doesn't that guy look likeCurtis (KaptainAmerica), and low and behold it was. So we spent the rest of the afternoon with our good friend Curtis and his wife Lisa. After a few beers and burgers it was time to head home. We rode back to the coast and headed north, dealing with the usual temps varying from 55° to 100° within 20 miles as we traveled the mountains, valleys, and coast.

It was only about a 250 mile ride, but what a great day!!!

Will one of you mechanical genuises here on cyclefish please invent a paint that applys itself to a house .Thats what i did all weekend except for the 4hrs i spent watching the Chargers lose. Next weekend should be fun at the vegas rally though,lets just hope we dont melt.

Only one good day this weekend in the Northeast it was Saturday. Went on a bike run Saturday it was the 4th Annual Stephen Hancox Memorial Motorcycle Run & BBQ Benefit

This was the first time for me and this ride it’s a 75 mile run to the coast and back. Great day for it sunny and in the 80’s not many of them left here. I got to say one thing when the ride was nice and well organized for only the 4th year. But the food at the end was something else. If you went home hungry from this one it was your own fault. The usual cook fair and more chili, hamburger, hot dog, I forgot how many types of wings, sausage, and steak tips. The pig didn’t come off the grill till 3. I left a little early 4 o’clock and it was still going strong. I’m marking my calendar for next year.

Left at 8am to meet new group in Temecula for a ride to the Hide Out. Hung out, ate lunch rode to Julian for some apple pie then headed out through Ramona. Down off the mountian we had to stop for hydration the heat hit us all of a sudden and one of the riders about passed out. After a rest we headed north, stopped at a biker night in Old Temecula then headed home. Got home at 7 pm. Long hot day but had a blast. Best investment I bought for my bike is an ice chest for cold drinks..........Oh yeah, finally got my amplifier/speakers hooked up for some tunes. Had my son upload music for me. Someone really needs to tell him Elton John is not my first choice for riding tunes, but the AC/DC kicked a**!

Damn, sounds like you did the exact opposite of us, we probably passed each other on the road.

I would definately like to meet some of the cyclefish family. My hubby and I ride every Sun. Saturdays are reserved for racing/working. Let us know next time your guys plan to ride out our way. One of these days we will make it to Cooks Corner.

Went to Maggie Valley, North Carolina, with the Bulldog, Mrs. Bulldog, and Mrs. Hollywood. We had a great time riding in the mountains, good food, good company.

Lori and I stopped by "Street Vibrations" in Reno on the way home. It was fun!

We rode out to Plam Springs for the American Heat Rally.  The rally it self wasn't really that great, attendance way down, very few vendors, and not much entertainment.  Actually I would not even call it a rally, more of a street fair with motorcycle vendors.  But we're still glad we went because we go to meet a couple new friends Cheryl & Terry (wheels) and hook up with some old friends to.

I had a fab Sunday ride out to Scarborough and Flamborough on the east coast of Yorkshire with 45 other bikers.  We set off from Squires Biker Cafe in the morning and rode through to Scarborough in convoy - then split into groups coming back as we each wanted to do different things.  I headed down to Flamborough with the Yorkshire Bikers.  The weather was sunny and warm (more like a lovely Spring day than the weather we expect in autumn).  Great ride, good weather and even better company.  Shaun had a fab time too and his pics will be posted later

Well we just moved into our new house, so this weekend, as well as quite a few to follow are going to be working on the house. But its not really like work because I get to enjoy it when its done.

This Sunday was the MDA Halloween Witch Ride. It starts off in Everett Ma. and ends in Salem Ma. Where the witch trails happend. Some folks dressed up, some dressed there bikes up. We all ended up in historic downtown Salem. It must have been over a 1,000 bikes invading the city with a police escort then left on our own to get in trouble. Nice day and a good ride up the coast for a good cause.

no ,wee ill get it the morn ,after the whole of england get's it and cry about how cold it is and how much folks get stuck in it and freeez their tits off , then when us in scotland get it , it will just be a small flutter ,a wee covering ....lol but we will survive ..cause we are hardy basa's ..lol

Friend near Inverness said she had dusting of snow last night. We Northerners are hardy beggars too I'll have you know lol - it's only those soft Southern buggers below the Midlands who sob when they get a dusting - they stop their buses and trains and all stay at home cos they daren't cross the threshold in case the white stuff sticks to their stillettoes designer brogues. We keep our public transport going and most everyone makes sure they get to work - walking miles if necessary. Even the underground ground to a halt in London last year!!!!!! I will admit to being a woos on the bike though - took that out in the snow once for my bike test and don't want to repeat that one again (o:

Finally got home (0500 Fri AM)!    Repaired Mom's cage and got it inspected.    Fixed the kid's bike and got mine back.    Went to Scooter Pete's Isaiah Run and met some new folks.    Mostly just hung out with Mom and the kids.  

To HGSC90: Needed plugs. Still had original plugs from when new (1997) tho only has 10,000 miles on it. Zach bought it with 800 miles on it 2 years ago and I put the next 2k on it before he got "M" endorsement.  He is going to change the wires on it also, soon as he can get them.

I had a rough weekend.  Went remote control truck racing with my son.  I was on the track to help flip the trucks back over during practice when this truck flew off a jump and hit me square in the knee cap.  I know you're all thinking it was just a toy car...wrong.  These are pros with trucks made of super reinforced chassis and can reach speeds of 35 mph+.  This car hit so hard that the chassis broke in half...on my knee.  Luckily one of the racers there is an EMT so he patched me up.  The cut was so deep that when I bent my knee you could see my knee cap.  It is no longer the size of a basketball, but it still hurts like hell.
